1. What was the most difficult assessment item you completed in COIS20025 this term (not counting the examination which is not until the examination period)?
In my opinion,the assessment item one is the most difficult which is drawing the data flow diagrams.
2. What was difficult about it and how would you suggest it could be improved?
Although I can understand what we talked about during the class,I can not start the drawing by myself when changing antoher new project,in other words,I have to start points.
In my opinion,the most effective way is to do more exercises.
3. Name three (3) things you learnt this term in COIS20025.
(1) data and process modeling
(2) data design
(3) requirement modeling
4. What career are you working towards?
I want to do the areas of database such as a DBA of Oracle and release my current job position of web developer with PHP or C#.
5. How will you be able to use the knowledge and skills learnt in this course in your future career?
I learnt some much basic technique of system analysis and it provides helpful information to help me understand system more detailed.I will combine these knowledge with real database jobs in my future career.
After the exchange of the logic or the system updating,the IT staff have to diagnose the student reports are right or not.If the results have errors,the staff has to submit the request to managers waiting for the approval,and then fixing the bug by debugging the code and analyzing the data resources.Firstly,the maintenance will work on test enviroment.After then,it will be the operational system.
The IT staff can add new features generating the student reports on Web Site after the student logging in their accounts rather than the original paper version.
Optimizing both the program code and database at regular intervals and adding the data entry validation to guarantee the data availability improving maintainability.
Adding the validation for all input areas to prevent the data errors from the students or staffs and backuping the database storing the data by schedule.

In this website,I can find the definations of both Data Mdel and Process Model,and it can provide enough evidences to describe the similar between these about the their major focus of the data.
From the ponit of view of model function,this article partially describes the different functions of both Data Model and Process Model and introduces the differences during the system analysis as well.
Data and Process modelling
They are interdependent in analysis,the process of data is their core objective,they use the same data concepts,also,they are all around the data process.
They have different functions and objectives:
data model describes how data is represented and accessed,its object is data,what is more,data model formally define data elements and relationships among data elements for a domain of interest.It explicitly determines the meaning of data.
process model describes the business logic which programmers use to write code modules rather than data description or defininition.It illustrates the functions associated with a process that are performance and the organizations that perform these functions.
Process name
CREATE INVOICE
Process number
1
Purpose
receiving the payment from customer and generating the invoice feedback to customer,what is more,it will send the feedback and payment detail to the video shop staff so that the staff could loan the DVD to customer after that.
Input Data Flows
Origin: CUSTOMER;
Destination: process of CREATE INVOICE;
Description: payment information to video shop in order to get invoice and the evidence getting DVD;
Origin: CUSTOMER;
Destination: process of CREATE INVOICE;
Description: provide the request including the detail of DVD which the customer wanted so that the staff can be sure the aviliablity of it;
Output Data Flows
Origin: process of CREATE INVOICE;
Destination: CUSTOMER and data store ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE;
Description: the evidence of payment,the customer can get the DVD after staff receiving invoice and checking aviliablity of DVD,what is more,it is also the evidence returning back the DVD;
Origin: process of CREATE INVOICE;
Destination: VIDEO SHOP STAFF;
Description: the payment information providing the evidence for staff and they could lease DVD based on payment detail;
Process Description
the process will receive the payment and request from customers and generate the invoice,which is the evidence to get DVD, to customers and feedback detail to the shop staff so that the staff could do the next activity to lease DVD;
Notes
Volume and frequency:Approximately 10-30 pieces per day;

Document Review:
This approach is no useful,because the Document is used to record the information of current system,and it will tell you how is system working.It is not the material to record the concepts.What is more,it can not answer those questions.
Observation:
It is no useful.To some extent,Observation means “checking it again or a checklist” to find out something or make something better or more perfect but not the way or method to answer the concepts or which way is best.
Questionnaires and Surveys:
Organize those questions into a standard form listing all of them.And then sending the form to objective crowds to obtain answers.After that,analyzing and organizing the responds.
Sampling:
For question one and two,it had better combine surveys with sampling,and then I can make use of systematic or stratified sample to be sure which answer is best.For example,I will make 100 surveys,also,I will chose 5 answers from every tenth for review,after that,I will select most suitable and frequent answer.
For question three,systematic and stratified sample are better,and I will use each way of textbooks, journals and/or websites to research concepts ten times.Then,I will see which method is better to find the results,in other words,I can see which way can get most answers.
Research
It is a useful approach.I could find out the answers from Internet,magazines or books directly and so on.I will surf the Internet to google the answers,or I will look for so many materials such as books and journals.
What are the current problems with the BHSSRS?
What information do you need to find out about the BHSSRS to develop a detailed understanding of the current system?
